Board profile

Chartered Global Management Accountant and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia with more than 20 years in financial reporting, audit and governance, most of it inside ASX-listed and AFSL-regulated groups.

Renee is currently CFO of two ASX-listed companies and a non-executive director of privately owned companies, where she approves and signs off the audited annual financial reports.

She brings a practitioner's view of how accounting standards, ASX Listing Rules and ASIC requirements land in practice for small and mid-cap listed entities, including cross-border reporting across Australian and Canadian regimes.

  • CFO of two ASX-listed companies: a gold company reporting under IFRS with Canadian NI 51-102 MD&A, and a listed fund manager.
  • Leads IFRS consolidated financial statements covering impairment of mining assets (IAS 36), a gold prepayment facility with forward delivery obligations, leases and non-controlling interests.
  • Manages four annual AFSL audits, including RG 166 financial requirements and FS70 and FS71 lodgements.
  • Guided an agri-tech company through a buy-out, protecting directors from insolvency risk and re-establishing the business, which still trades today.

Head of finance for one listed entity, two market participant licences and five financial services licences. Attended all board and sub-committee meetings.

  • Revenue grew from $6m to $76m (2018) under growth strategies she designed and implemented.
  • Delivered three acquisitions of $13m, $3.5m and $1m end to end.
  • Implemented a reporting suite consolidating 35+ entities, and led reverse acquisition accounting and consolidation under AASB 3 and AASB 10 after a reverse takeover.
  • Led the turnaround that took the company out of Appendix 4C quarterly reporting to a position of expected profit.
